Industrial Visit to ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY, UNIVERSITY of KERALA

Industrial Visit to KUDANKULAM NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
An Industrial Visit to Kudankulam Nuclear Power plant was arranged for Fifth Semester B.Sc Physics Students on November 2, 2022 by the Department of Physics in association with Science Club and IQAC. Team started the journey at 6.30 am from Christ Nagar College and reached the power plant at 9am. After security procedures our team consisting of 43 participants, including faculties, attended a talk delivered by A V Sathish, officer In-charge, Nuclear Information Centre, about the working of the plant. After the talk we were directed to the plant and detailed working of the plant was explained to us by the officers. Reached college at 9 pm.

Academic Tour for final year B.Sc Physics students (2020-23) was conducted from 22 to 26 January 2023. and the trip started from Christ Nagar College at 1 pm. There were 21 students and 3 faculties in the team – Dr. Meenu Venugopal (Assistant Professor, Department of Physics), Mr Goutham Krishna L U (Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science) and Mr. Harish Kumar (Lab Assistant, Department of Physics). Second day the team visited Mysore Palace, St. Philomina Church and Vrindavan Gardens at Mysore. On day 3 team visited Golden Temple, Coorg and bamboo forest. On day 4, our team visited Kuruva islands at Wayanad and evening return journey started. We had reached Christ Nagar College on Day 5 at morning 6.30 am.

Academic Tour for final year B.Sc Physics students (2017-20) was conducted from 8 to 15 January 2020. and the trip started from Christ Nagar College at 3 pm. There were 18 students and 2 faculties in the team – Dr. Veena Gopal S (Assistant Professor, Department of Physics), Mr. Goutham Krishna L U (Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics) .It was an eight day tour explored Coorg, Chickamangalore, Dandeli, Gokarnam, St Thomas Island and Malpe. We reached Christ Nagar College on Day 8 at noon 12 a.m
