STATUTORY DECLARATION UNDER SEC-4(1)(B) of RTI ACT 2005
The Right to Information Act which came into force w.e.f 15th June 2005 is enacted by Parliament and notified by Government of India to protect and practically implement the rights of citizens to gather information from government bodies.
Christ Nagar College, Maranalloor, Koovalassery P.O, Thiruvanthapuram-695512, is a self-financing College, affiliated to the University of Kerala. The college follows the rules and regulations issued by the Higher Education Department, Department of Collegiate Education under The Govt. of Kerala and University of Kerala from time to time.
The college has different Bodies/ Committees /cells to maintain discipline and receive complaints. These cells and Committees of the college are under Statutory Bodies and come under the purview of section 4(1)(b) of the RTI ACT 2005.
All financial transactions of the college are subjected to statutory audit by the qualified firms of external Charted Accountants. The College is not financed directly or indirectly either by Central or State or Local self-governments.
Citizens can seek information on anything related to the college by submitting a written request with name, address, contact number and particulars of the information sought along with a postal order/demand draft for Rs 10/- in favour of the Principal, Christ Nagar College, Maranalloor, Koovalassery P.O, Thiruvanthapuram-695512. Copies of documents will be charged according to the rate fixed by the State Information Commission, Kerala.
