A Seminar on- ‘Innovations, Challenges and Trends in Computing Technologies’

Department of Computer Science and Applications and CATKA (Department student association) conducted a One-Day Seminar on ‘Innovations, Challenges and Trends in Computing Technologies’ on 29th March 2021. The resource person was Prof Vinod Chandra S S, Department of Computer Science, University of Kerala, Trivandrum.

The PG Department of Computer Science and Applications, Department of Physics and IQAC in association with Tutorialspoint organised a Career Guidance Programme: EDUMILE on 7th March 2022. The resource person was Mr Praveen Varghese Thomas, Program Manager- Training and Development, Tutorialspoint.

The Department of Computer Science and Applications, PD Club and the Association of Christ Nagar College Alumni in association with IQAC organised an “Induction Programme”, an interactive session with the first year BCA students on 12th December 2022. The resource person was Ms Sukruthi C S, Production Software Engineer, Oracle Cerner and Alumna of BCA 2017-20 batch.

The Department of Computer Science & Applications in association with IQAC organized Seminar on the topic: “SKY HIGH ON AI” on 11 May 2021 in connection with National Technology Day Celebration by PG students of Computer Science.

The Department of Computer Science & Applications and the IQAC of Christ Nagar College in association with Computer Society of India organized A talk on the topic: “AI for Good” on 13 May 2022 in connection with National Technology Day Celebration. The resource person was Dr Biji C L, Associate Professor, School of Computer science , Vellore Institute of Technology.

The Department of Computer Science & Applications and the IQAC of Christ Nagar College in association with Computer Society of India organized Expert Lecture Series II on “Artificial Intelligence & Future Technologies” on 28 November 2022.The resource person was Dr. K Satheesh Kumar, Professor, Dept of Futures Studies, University of Kerala

The Department of Computer Science & Applications and the IQAC of Christ Nagar College in association with Kerala Police Cyberdome on 18 February 2022 in connection with Safer Internet Day Celebration.

The Department of Computer Science and Applications and IQAC in association with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), an R&D organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology organised a cyber security awareness programme, “Cyber Security Analysis in Digital World” in connection with Safer Internet Day on 16th February 2023. The resource person of the program was Dr Priya P Sajan, Project Engineer, C-DAC.

Workshops

Exploring Python- Two-day hands-on workshop –(FDP)

A Two- Day hands-on Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘Exploring Python’ was conducted on 20th and 21st September, 2019. The resource person was Dr Jeeva Jose, Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Applications, Baselios Poulose II Catholicos College, Piravom. Faculty members from various colleges and schools in and around Trivandrum city attended the workshop.

Game Development Workshop- For beginner

Department organised a workshop on game development in association with TOONZ ACADEMY, Technopark, Trivandrum from 21st to 25th July 2020. The 5-day workshop helped the students to understand the basics of a game development using Unity 3D

Conferences

The hybrid 2nd International Conference on Advanced Information Science and Computing Systems and IQAC of Christ Nagar College in Collabration with ICFOSS and Computer Society of India held on 28th January 2023 was well attended by research scholars, teachers and students from across the globe.
