Mathematics Exhibition – Zefiro 2023 As a part of International Pie Day, Department of Mathematics and IEDC in association with IQAC organised an Exhibition “Zefiro 2023” on 30th & 31st March 2023.

Intercollegiate Mathematics Quiz Competition As part of National Mathematics Day Celebration 2022, Department of Mathematics organised an Intercollegiate Mathematics Quiz Competition for UG students on 12 January 2023. It was in association with IQAC. The Quiz master was Dr. Preenu C S (Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, University College, Thiruvananthapuram)

National Level Intercollegiate Mathematics Quiz Competition As part of National Mathematics Day Celebration 2021, Department of Mathematics organised a National Level Intercollegiate Mathematics Quiz Competition for UG students on 21 December 2021. Data Analysis using SPSS”

The department of Statistics organised an add-on course for 6th semester B. Sc Statistics students. It was a 30-hour course which was useful for the statistical analysis in the final year project. The resource person of the course was Dr. Jitto Jose, Assistant Professor, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery.

National Statistics Day CelebrationDepartment of Statistics organised a ‘Career Orientation program for 6th semester B. Sc Statistics students’ on 18th March 2022. The resource person was Mr. Mahesh Divakaran, Statistical Programmer, Genpro Research, Technopark, Trivandrum.

Data Analytics- Career & ProspectsDepartment of Statistics commemorate National Statistics Day on 29th June 2021in online mode. The resource persons Dr. Santanu Koley and Mr. Mahesh Divakaran delivered an enriching session on the various opportunities of statistics in the field of data analytics.

Competitions

Visit to Providence Home (Orphanage for mentally disabled)

The students of B.Sc Statistics 2nd year and 3rd year visited the providence home at Killy , Kattakkada on 28th March 2023 as part of social outreach. The students spend the day with the inmates by interacting with them and singing their favourite songs. Students contributed gifts and essential commodities for the inmates of the home.
